Wilf Butler graduates to the 2026 Milltek Civic Cup

Junior Saloon Car Championship Superstar Wilf Butler has become the first driver to announce an entry for the 2026 Milltek Civic Cup season.

Wilf, who finished in third place in this year’s JSCC, will make his debut with MRM Motorsport as he continues with the team into next season.

The MRM Motorsport driver enjoyed a stellar 2025 season where he led the JSCC points standings for the majority of the year, setting many records in the process, including:

  • Most Lap Records set in the JSCC – Five fastest laps.
  • The only driver to take a race win at every track during the 2025 season.
  • The most race wins taken during the 2025 season – Ten wins.
  • The most pole positions taken during the 2025 season – Twelve pole positions.
  • The most number of Fastest Laps set during the 2025 season – Twelve fastest laps.
  • 10 Wins out of 25 Races Finished and 20 Podiums out of 25 Races Finished.

The Motorsport UK Academy driver has already spent some time testing in a Civic Cup Car, ahead of more testing mileage to be completed over the winter, before the championship begins the new season at Brands Hatch on 4-5 April next year.

“I’m thrilled to announce my entry in the 2026 Milltek Civic Cup, and I can’t wait to be part of such a close and exciting championship as I move up from the JSCC after three years. It’s great to be staying on with MRM Motorsport as I begin the preparation for my debut,” said Wilf.

“Having tested out a Civic Cup car, I’m excited about being on the grid next year of what is known as one of the toughest one-make tin top series in the UK. I look forward to the challenge ahead.”

Berkshire Turbo are a major sponsor for Wilf, and they are supporting his entry for next year, having assisted with the purchase of the Civic EP3 he will race and providing further support for the team next year.

Wilf has previously been supported by a vast array of sponsors, including Muni Hire, A4 Metal Recycling, Tadley MOT Centre, Paul Butler Construction, Station Tyres and FPL Signs & Fright Services, and he is looking forward to working with them once again in 2026.

Championship Manager Jack Finlan is delighted to welcome Wilf to the Milltek Civic Cup ahead of the new season.

“Our platform and ladder progression perfectly suits all junior drivers who are coming out of the various junior championships within UK Motorsport, as they look to take the next step in their motorsport careers and move onto senior car racing opportunities,” explained Jack.

“Wilf Butler is a clear talent who has been the leading light of the JSCC in 2025, and it’s great to welcome him into the Civic Cup for the 2026 season. His decision demonstrates a clear progression within our paddocks and a pathway for many young drivers to follow. I look forward to seeing his progress next year on our motorsport package.”
