Will Butt has announced that he will return for his third consecutive year in the Milltek Civic Cup, as he makes changes behind the scenes for the 2026 season.
Continuing with the EP3 Civic he has campaigned for the last two years, Will has also confirmed that he’ll tie up with Team Petters Racing as both family-run squads look to work together next year.
Competing under the “Will Buttsy Racing with DCCR” banner in 2025, the Welshman finished inside the top ten of the Paul Winfield Trophy, the category for less experienced drivers, where he secured two podium finishes during the Brands Hatch Easter event.
However, 2025 was also a year of progress for Will, as he worked toward finishing in the top ten at each race weekend and made steady progress towards this goal. The team name may change for 2026, but the family-run outfit is ready to reach higher in their third season in the championships.
“Will Buttsy Racing with Team Petters Racing” driver Will is now aiming to break into the top ten and start challenging for more regular points finishes.
“I’m very excited to announce my return to the Milltek Civic Cup for 2026. The last two years have taught me a lot, and I can say I’m looking to achieve more as preparations begin for the 2026 season, especially working with Team Petters Racing as we face the new season together,” said Will.
“2025 was a struggle due to some mechanical issues with the car. I have shown this year that I have made my way up the field and have been on the cusp of reaching the top ten points-wise. Next year will be my third season in the series, and I want those all-important top ten finishes as we work to move up the field once more.”
Championship Manager Jack Finlan is very happy to see Will Butt make his return as the grid grows ahead of the 2026 season.
“The Milltek Civic Cup is all about being part of a fun championship that’s incredibly competitive on track and a great atmosphere off track. I’m pleased to see Will confirm his return and to see him working along with Team Petters Racing, one of the teams which is a rising star in the championship,” said Jack.
“Every place is hard fought in the Milltek Civic Cup, regardless of where the championship is in action, and Will has shown consistent improvement as the season has worn on. I wish him all the best for 2026 as he works alongside the Petters.”
