Don DeGraaf will make his debut in the 2026 Civic Cup, signing up to Motion Motorsport and completing their driver lineup ahead of the new season.
The Surrey-based driver joins the team as they expand their entry in the 2026 season to four drivers, driving an EP3 Cup car.
Having begun his motor racing in karting at the age of ten, Don worked his way up the ranks, where he took victory in the British Karting Championships. Stints in Formula Renault were followed by time in the Clio Sports championship, where he finished runner-up in the drivers’ standings.
Joining the Type R Trophy in 2024, DeGraaff teamed up with Motion Motorsport in 2025, where he ended the season as runner-up in the title chase.
The move to Civic Cup beckoned for 2026, where Don is looking forward to joining the grid ahead of the season premiere at Brands Hatch on the Easter weekend.
“It’s great to be joining the Civic Cup this year, where I’ll be continuing my motorsport journey with Motion Motorsport. Having several years of experience under my belt from the Clio Sport and Type R Trophy will help me to get ready for taking on the next challenge in my career,” said Don.
“I’m planning to get some seat time in before the start of the season, so I can get used to the differences in a Civic Cup car and to prepare for the start of the season at Brands Hatch. It’s a learning year for me; however, I plan to make good progress, so I hope to get inside the top ten before the year is out.”
Championship Manager Jack Finlan is pleased to see Don announce his debut in the Civic Cup as part of the Motion Motorsport driver lineup.
“It’s great to see Don join the Civic Cup and to see Motion Motorsport come back stronger after their return last season. Don is one of the many new drivers who have chosen to step up to Civic Cup competition for 2026, and I wish him all the best in his first season driving with such an experienced team,” explained Jack.
“Many new names and returning drivers have signed up for the 2026 season, and despite being just over five weeks away from going racing, we have one of the largest and most competitive fields in the history of the series. I’m delighted to say that we have lots more to announce before the opening rounds at Brands Hatch.”
