Alistair Camp has taken pole position for the first Milltek Sport Civic Cup race at Donington Park, just two-thousandths of a second ahead of Free Practice pacesetter Ben Sharpe as Travis Coyne took pole position in the Production Class.
During a frantic session that saw several drivers hit with track limits violations, Camp went fastest with a time of 1:17.899 to stay ahead of Sharp with Jamie Tonks in third place, another fifty-nine hundredth of a second back.
The top five was completed by Matt Luff, who set a time of 1:18.157 with George Alp-Williams close behind on a time of 1:18.249, keeping the grid close as the first eight cars in the Cup Class were covered by a second.
Ryan Bensley was sixth fastest in the session with both Morgan Bailey and Martin Dalzell in seventh and eighth places respectively with Dave Bukey and Ross Darlington completing the top ten places on the Cup Class grid.
Travis Coyne followed up his Free Practice pace by setting pole position in the Production Class with a time of 1:21.333 ahead of series leader Mervyn Beckett who was almost three tenths adrift with a 1:21.504.
Alfie Threlfall was third fastest in his Civic with Mark Hughes and Simon Welch completing the top five grid positions in class as Matthew Stenning went sixth quickest.
Harry Threlfall was one of several drivers on track who was caught out on track limits which has left him in seventh place for race one ahead of Edward Sibbald, Jon Peerless and Production class debutant Nick Charlier who completes the top ten in class.
