Alp-Williams set his sights on greater success in 2022

Championship front-runner George Alp-Williams has confirmed he will return to the Milltek Sport Civic Cup this year, aiming to build on the experience of his two previous seasons to achieve even better results in 2022.

Having challenged for overall honours in the Cup Class last year, where he took several podiums and also claimed pole position for the final round at Snetterton, Alp Williams will be looking to put what he feels was a disappointing season behind him.

Staying on board with Area Motorsport, the team that delivered last season’s top three finishers, he intends to grasp the opportunity to build on the positives and hit the ground running when the season kicks off at Cadwell Park with a three-race meeting over the May-Day Bank Holiday weekend.

“Taking all I’ve learned over the past two seasons, it’s really exciting to be coming back to the Civic Cup this year. After a disappointing 2021, it’s an opportunity to set the record straight and start the season how I mean to carry on.

“Once again I’ll be lining up with Area Motorsport. My close partnership with the team and my mechanic Chris should help to make us competitive, run at the front of the field and show what we can really do in our third season in the championship.”
