Having entered the final three meetings of 2021, Max Edmundson will return to the Milltek Sport Civic Cup in 2022 as he embarks on his first full season in the championship.
Signing up with Zest Racecar Engineering, Edmundson will compete in the Cup Class for more modified cars alongside teammates Harry Threlfall, who finished runner-up in last year’s Production Class category and his brother Alfie who ended the season in third.
Having made the switch from Karting and then joining the championship for what amounted to seven race outings last year, Edmundson is aiming high.
Taking into account his end-of-season experience, the 16-year-old hopes to hit the ground running and be able to challenge the more established drivers.
“Having made the move from Karting and taking part in the final three events of last year, I was eager to make a permanent move into cars,” explained Max.
“The Civic Cup is definitely the way to go and whilst I’m aiming high, I believe that with the pace in hand I’m ready to fight for podiums and all being well, fight for championship positions too. Having teamed up with Zest Racecar Engineering for my first full season, I’m hoping to spring a few surprises!”
