Hounsell joins Jeakins Race Preparation for Civic Cup debut

Loui Hounsell has been named as the second driver to race with Jeakins Race Preparation as both driver and team make their 2022 debut in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup.

With Loui having already competed alongside Alfie Jeakins in last year’s Junior Saloon Car Championship, both drivers will now work alongside each other as they take on the other competitors in the fight for the Production class title this year.

Stepping up to the Milltek Sport Civic Cup also means that there are some circuits on the calendar that is new to Loui, however, that’s not stopping him from wanting to get stuck into his first season in the championship.

With the opening rounds at Cadwell Park this weekend signalling the start of his first season in the championship, Loui is eager to learn and improve:

“I am very excited to race in the Civic Cup this year in the Production class. It is the perfect step up from my debut season in motorsport racing in the JSCC last year, learning as much as I can along the way in my first season of senior racing. I will be aiming to be near the top end of the production class this season.”

“Snetterton is my favourite track, so I am really looking forward to that one, and with Brands Hatch being my local circuit, I will have a lot of family and friends coming to watch. There are a couple of tracks I haven’t been to yet, so I’m excited to race at them too.”
