Edmundson joins Area Motorsport line-up for 2023 Civic Cup season

Max Edmundson will be back for the 2023 Milltek Sport Civic Cup season, where he will be part of the Area Motorsport line-up, driving a Civic EP3 model.

Max competed in the 2022 season, his first year in the championship, where he took a best finish of fifth place in the second race at Brands Hatch back in September last year.

Whilst this was his best finish of the year, Max also suffered from an engine issue that left him out of both the Castle Combe and Donington Park National events. In what will be his second season in the Civic Cup, joining Area Motorsport offers his best chance at moving forward up the grid this year.

Despite a troubled 2022 season where he struggled with mechanical issues, Max is taking a refreshed look towards 2023 with a new season ahead of him and new opportunities with Area Motorsport.

“It will be good to get back out on track after a long winter break. Hopefully, we can get some good results and points towards our championship after so many problems in 2022.”

Area Motorsport Team Principal Rob Baker is ready to work with Max as both team and driver look towards achieving podium finishes this year.

“Max joined us halfway through the 2022 season and after some changes to the car, he showed a lot of potential which didn’t always yield the deserved results. The goal this year will be to push towards podium finishes and help Max develop his pace further throughout the 2023 season.”
