Leonardo Panayiotou joins Motion Motorsport for Civic Cup debut

Leonardo Panayiotou is the latest driver to announce his entry in the 2023 Milltek Sport Civic Cup, where he will make his debut in the championship driving for race-winning squad Motion Motorsport.

Having enjoyed success in the Junior Saloon Car Championship where he took the 2019 Rookie title, Leonardo has also been in competition in the JCW MINI Challenge over the last two years before deciding to take his motor racing career in a new direction.

Taking part in what will be his first season in the Civic Cup and as a full-time entry, Leonardo has already had a chance to test the car recently, where he was happy to be back on track and getting laps under his belt after a long off-season.

The opening rounds of the 2023 Milltek Sport Civic Cup will take place at Snetterton on the 300 circuit over the Easter weekend and with this in mind, Leonardo is looking to hit the ground running.

“It was a great feeling to be back behind the wheel of a racing car and back on track putting myself through my paces during my recent test. The test itself went really well and it’s given me a good feeling to soon be back on track regularly,” said Leonardo

“To be a part of the Civic Cup this year is a great opportunity to see how competitive I am in one of the most exciting and closely contested single-make tin-top championships in the UK. I’m looking to be consistent in my first season in the championship, with an aim to improve so that I score regular top-five finishes and more.”

The 2023 Milltek Sport Civic Cup season gets underway at Snetterton on the 300 circuit on the 8th and 9th of April, during the Easter weekend. Visit https://civic-cup.co.uk/ for more info and how to get involved.
