Dan MacDonald joins Ben Sharpe Racing Lineup for 2023

Dan MacDonald returns for his second season in the 2023 Milltek Sport Civic Cup, where he joins the expanding Ben Sharpe Racing lineup.

Dan made his debut in the championship last season, where he ended the year fighting for top-five finishes in the Kinetic Motorsport EP3 Civic.

The Isle of Lewis driver, who ended the season in eleventh place in the 2022 points standings with a best finish of sixth place in the second race at Castle Combe, joins the already confirmed Ben Kruger and Jack Harding in the team for the 2023 season.

Eager to get back on track and ready for the 2023 season, Dan admits that his first time in the car won’t be until the opening weekend of the season at Snetterton.

“I can’t wait to get started with Ben Sharpe Racing and see what results we can achieve together in 2023. There’s a very competitive grid this year but I’m eager to be fighting for the top 5 like I was at the end of 2022,” explained Dan.

“I’ve got to hit the ground running as due to university commitments I haven’t been able to complete any pre-season tests. I only have the Friday testing and Saturday Free Practice to get back up to speed at Snetterton but I’m looking forward to being back on track.”

Team Principal Ben Sharpe is excited to have Dan on board this year.

“BSR are excited to announce their 3rd driver for 2023. Dan MacDonald will be joining the team this season in the BSR hire car. Dan shows great potential with the right support to push him up through the grid,” said Ben.

“We know the hire car is a great car and had several podiums already, Dan is a quick learner and we aim to support him to his fullest potential.”

The 2023 Milltek Sport Civic Cup season gets underway at Snetterton on the 300 circuit on the 8th and 9th of April, during the Easter weekend. Visit https://civic-cup.co.uk/ for more info and how to get involved.
