Loui Hounsell signs with Pro Alloys Racing in Civic Cup return

2022 Milltek Sport Civic Cup Production Class vice champion Loui Hounsell will make his return to the championship this year, after signing a deal with Pro Alloys Racing.

Driving an EP3 Honda, Loui will drive in the final triple header of the year at Silverstone on the National circuit in September, as well as the season finale at Brands Hatch in October.

Last season was Loui’s debut in the championship, and he was a revelation in the Production class, as well as being able to race on many occasions with some of the more powerful Cup class cars.

A recent test with Pro Alloys Racing at Cadwell Park has shown that Loui has lost none of his touch and the Kent-based driver is excited to get back into the Civic Cup.

Pro Alloys Racing has already seen race wins with Alistair Camp, Will Redford and Ryan Bensley, meaning that the team offers a competitive car to Loui.

For 2023, all Civic Cup cars, both EP3 models and FN2 models, all run to Cup class regulations, meaning that Loui will arrive on an equal footing.

“I am absolutely thrilled to return to the Civic Cup for the remainder of the season, partnering up with the impressive outfit of Pro Alloys Racing,” said Loui.

“I cannot wait to race at such iconic venues with three races at Silverstone National and the finale at Brands Hatch. Following my success in the Production Class last year, I am looking forward to seeing where I rank in a Cup car while also enjoying my time back in the awesome Civic Cup paddock.”
