Simon Welch confirms Goodyear Diamond title defence in 2024 Milltek Sport Civic Cup

Simon Welch has announced his entry for the 2024 Milltek Sport Civic Cup at the 2024 Autosport International Show at the Birmingham NEC, as he returns to defend his Goodyear Diamond Trophy title win from 2023.

The Oxfordshire-based driver, who took his Honda Civic EP3 to four class wins and a further eleven podiums to secure the title, will be back to take on the competition as he looks to defend his title.

Whilst running on one of the smallest budgets in the Civic Cup Paddock, Simon was able to use consistency to his benefit and is looking to repeat his performance in the new season, with the Milltek Sport Civic Cup staying on board as an official feeder series to the TCR UK Touring Car Championship.

As the 17 race season gets under at Brands Hatch on April 13-14, using the Indy circuit, Simon is excited to return to the Civic Cup for the 2024 season.

“I’m happy to announce that I’ll be back to defend my Goodyear Diamond Trophy title for the new season. As always, I’m looking to finish higher in the overall championship than I did for the previous year,” explained Simon.

“I’m glad to see that the Milltek Sport Civic Cup is back on the support package for the new season of TCR UK and I look forward to taking on the challenges of the circuits confirmed on this years calendar.”

You can find the Milltek Sport Civic Cup at the 2024 Autosport International Show, in Hall 3, on Stand 3650 from 11 – 14 January at the Birmingham NEC.
