Owen Hillman is back for his third season in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup and is ready to take the next step after claiming his first podium finish in last year’s Brands Hatch Finale.

Owen stays on with the Pro Alloys Racing team, driving the Civic EP3 in 2024, as he looks to carry on the form that he showed last October, having run in second place for most of the final race of the 2023 season at the Kent venue.

The Wiltshire-based driver will be joined by a host of young drivers this year as Pro Alloys Racing has already confirmed Alex Kite for a second season and Harry England, who is making his full-season debut after competing at the Brands Hatch Finale last year.

Owen is also eligible for the Paul Winfield Trophy in this year, and doing well in the PWT is one of his aims as he looks to have an improved 2024 season.

With two seasons worth of experience in the championship and with the same team, Owen is out to claim regular top-ten finishes this year and show an improved performance in the reverse grid races to get himself further up the order.

“I’ll be clear, the Milltek Sport Civic Cup is one of the toughest championships I’ve completed in so taking that first podium at Brands Hatch last year was a breakthrough moment for me. I led the race from the start and now I’ve had that experience, I want to take it to the next level,” explained Owen.

“This year I’m looking to get more top ten finishes under my belt and if I can do that in race one, that means a better starting position in the reverse grid races. I’m aiming to be further up the grid this year and show that my podium was not a one-off performance.”

The 2024 season of the Milltek Sport Civic Cup gets underway at Brands Hatch on 13-14 April, using the Indy circuit for the opening 3 rounds of what will be a 17-round season.
