Jamie Petters will step up to the Milltek Sport Civic Cup for 2024, driving a Civic EP3 run by the family team: Team Petters Racing.
The 17-year-old from Suffolk has an impressive background in racing and will benefit from the support of Ben Sharpe Racing in his first season.
Starting his racing career on the short ovals, Jamie made his way up the racing ladder until the age of 14 when he became old enough to compete in junior formulae in circuit racing.
His circuit racing debut was the Junior Saloon Car Championship, where he claimed the rookie title in 2021. The 2022 season in JSCC saw Jamie take three wins and multiple podiums.
Moving up to the senior racing ranks when he was old enough, Jamie and his brother Daniel both took on the JCW Mini Challenge, however for 2024, the Suffolk-based driver moves to the Milltek Sport Civic Cup.
Eligible for the Paul Winfield Trophy in his debut season, Jamie is looking forward to the new season, after watching the 2023 season action, he is excited to become a part of a series that looks fast, competitive and fun.
“I cannot wait for the 2024 season to start, and I’d like to thank my family for giving me the opportunity to be on the grid. The aim is to win, as any racing driver’s aim always is, but as this is my first year, to get inside the top 10 on a highly competitive field would be a really good result!”
The Pre-Season Launch Day takes place at Snetterton on Thursday 28th March, whilst the 2024 season gets underway proper at Brands Hatch, using the Indy circuit, on April 13-14.
