Karting sensation Aydan Hassan will make his debut in this year’s Milltek Sport Civic Cup, using 2024 as his first year in car racing after enjoying a stellar career in karting.
Aydan will join the Pro Alloys Racing outfit for his maiden season, driving a Civic EP3 as part of the Wiltshire squads driver line-up.
The Buckinghamshire-based driver has been racing since he was 8 years old, including racing in Europe and further international events as well as competing in the UK karting scene.
Aydan’s impressive karting CV includes being a Double O Plate IAME champion, Double Gold Gup Karting champion, Double Super One Junior champion in both 2022 and 2023 and ranked as the top Privateer in the Wera Tools Motorsport UK British Karting Championships.
For 2024, the sixteen-year-old moves into car racing for the next stage in his motorsport career, with the Civic Cup being the first step.
The Buckinghamshire-based driver will also continue to be a member of the Rally Replay Academy, who have supported him recently in karting and are following Aydan into his car racing career to support him this year.
Looking ahead to the new season, Aydan is preparing for 2024 to be a year of learning and making progress as he moves from Karting to Car racing.
“I’m very excited to begin my first year of car racing this year and to make my debut in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup. After many years in Karting it’s time to move up and start working on developing my skills in cars,” explained Aydan.
“I’m not setting myself any unrealistic goals, however, I do want to get to grips with the Civic and working with a race-winning outfit like Pro Alloys gives me a great chance to get started in the right way. I’m looking to score some race finishes and also score points in what is an already very competitive championship.”
The Pre-Season Launch Day takes place at Snetterton on Thursday 28th March, whilst the 2024 season gets underway proper at Brands Hatch, using the Indy circuit, on April 13-14.
