Spencer Stevenson is the final piece of the jigsaw, which completes the 2024 BSR – Ben Sharpe Racing driver lineup ahead of this year’s Milltek Sport Civic Cup season.
Spencer is one of several new drivers to the championship this year, as he takes the next step up the racing ladder after competing previously in the BRSCC Airtec Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship.
Part of Spencer’s success as he works his way up, has included finishing as vice-champion in the ST 150 class of the 2020 BRSCC Fiesta Championship racing with MRF Tyres.
With multiple titles to his credit in the TKM Karting class before his move up to car racing, Spencer has shown that he has the talent to succeed and will be tested in the ultra-competitive Milltek Sport Civic Cup this year.
Joining the successful BSR – Ben Sharpe Racing squad with such names as Harvey Caton and Will Redford, the Northamptonshire-based driver has already been able to shakedown the Civic EP3 he will be driving this season.
With the season getting underway at Brands Hatch, using the Indy circuit, on 13-14 April, Spencer is excited to get the season started.
“I’m really looking forward to racing in the 2024 Milltek Sport Civic Cup championship, an exciting new challenge for me. I’m excited to be a part of the BSR – Ben Sharpe Racing team, being surrounded by lots of other talented drivers. Last year, we raced in both the BRSCC Airtec Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship and the Mini Challenge JCW class, where we set the pace in qualifying and I was battling at the front in my guest round,” explained Spencer.
“My aim for the Civic Cup this year is to learn as much as possible, as fast as possible as I have no previous testing or experience in a civic and all whilst aiming for as many podiums as possible! A big thank you goes to my sponsor Russell James Windows and Doors for their support ahead of the new season. I’m looking forward to spending weekends away with friends and family as the season progresses.”
Team Principal Ben Sharpe welcomed Spencer into the team as his 2024 driver lineup is now complete.
