Dan MacDonald will make his return to the Milltek Sport Civic Cup for the 2024 season, re-uniting with BSR – Ben Sharpe Racing.

Driving the same car that Nick Cristofaro used at the first two weekends at Brands Hatch and Snetterton, Dan will get his 2024 season underway this week at Oulton Park, on the Island circuit, in rounds seven and eight.

2023 was a season on the up for the young driver from the Isle of Lewis, where he scored his best-ever finish of fourth place on home turf at Knockhill last year.

Returning to the BSR – Ben Sharpe Racing run Civic EP3 means that Dan is already familiar with the car, giving him the chance to showcase his skills this year in the Paul Winfield Trophy.

Knowing that he is capable of being a front-running driver, Dan already has a clear goal ahead of him, despite the challenges of the very competitive 2024 grid.

“I’m really excited to be back, it’s nearly been a year since I was last in the car so Friday testing is crucial for me to get back into the rhythm and on the pace,” explained Dan.

“I was agonisingly close to a podium at Knockhill with 4th, so the aim this year is to grab some silverware, whether that be from the podium or in the Paul Winfield Trophy.

“I’m with Ben Sharpe Racing again for 2024, I made great progress with the team last year so it was a no-brainer to stay with them again”

“We are optimistic that he will quickly regain the impressive pace he demonstrated at Knockhill. However, we recognise the challenges ahead. Due to budget constraints, this will be Dan’s first time back in a race car in 10 months. Despite this, we have full confidence in his abilities and are excited to see him back on track.”
