Experienced driver Garry Townsend had so much fun in the 2024 Milltek Sport Civic Cup that he’s back for a full season next year.

Garry will be running under his own banner of Townsend Motorsport and will return with the Civic EP3 that he drove this year.

Having joined the grid at Oulton Park in June, Garry, who is eligible for the Goodyear Diamond Award for drivers aged 40 and over, enjoyed a rewarding season.

The high point came at Thruxton in September, where he took two wins in the Goodyear Diamond Award, on his way to third place overall in the standings at the end of the season.

Having a wealth of motorsport experience behind him in touring cars, sportscars and single-make racing, the Warwickshire-based driver is back for all seven events on the 2025 calendar.

Previously racing in TCR UK, where he drove an Audi RS3 LMS TCR Gen2, Garry mixed it with new and returning drivers this year, testing himself against the high level of competition in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup.

The Townsend Motorsport driver is thrilled to be back for more in 2025.

“I had a fantastic time this year, being a part of the Milltek Sport Civic Cup grid and thoroughly enjoying the good-hearted, fun nature of the paddock, teams and drivers that take part,” explained Garry.

“It’s true that the Milltek Sport Civic Cup is one of the strongest single-make championships in the UK, and I’m thrilled to confirm I’ll be back on the grid in 2025 with my own team.”

Milltek Sport Civic Cup Championship Promoter Stewart Lines welcomes Garry back to the grid for 2025.

“It’s great to see Garry come back for next season, showing that drivers of any age or experience can take part competitively in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup and have the chance of taking home silverware each weekend,” said Stewart.
