Harvey Caton is back for the 2025 Milltek Civic Cup season, after taking his debut win in the series last year.
Entering his fourth season in the championship, Harvey finally reached that elusive first win last season, where he took victory in the Oulton Park replacement race that was held on the national layout at Silverstone.
To add further to this, the Staffordshire-based driver stays on with Area Motorsport for a second year, having joined them ahead of the Croft weekend.
Adding four podium finishes to his record, Harvey finished the year in fifth place in the driver’s standings, equalling the same end-of-year finish in 2023 when he drove for his family run team.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, Harvey is looking to improve on last year’s results and be more consistent at the front.
“Taking that first win last year was a big milestone for me, we’ve been so close to taking it before and, for one reason or another, have just missed out. Moving to Area helped me mature and take a step up in my driving, resulting in finally getting that first win,” explained Harvey.
“Already knowing the car and staying with the team for a second year, means that I have a chance to build on the hard work and start to aim for regular podium finishes this season. Being a front-runner in the Civic Cup is the next step, and I’m ready to take it.”
Team Principal Rob Baker is delighted to have Harvey on board for a second straight year.
“Harvey joined us for the final 3 rounds last year, and after some changes to the car prior to his first round with us, he hit the ground running. Immediately, he was able to show his talent by running consistently with the front pack and taking a number of podiums, including his first win in the Civic Cup,” said Rob.
“It was great to see such an improvement in a short space of time with the team and he will be a strong challenger this year along with our other confirmed drivers so far.”
Championship Promoter Stewart Lines is happy to see Harvey returning for a third straight year.
“I’ve watched Harvey progress through the junior ranks of motorsport and it’s great to see that he took his first victory last year in the championship,” said Stewart.
“Harvey has grown as a driver over the last three years as he has shown that he is capable of running up front with the best drivers in the Milltek Civic Cup. Now that he has his first win behind him, I look forward to seeing Harvey at the front this year.”
