Jake Renshaw signs with BSR ahead of Donington Premiere

Jake Renshaw has signed with BSR ahead of the 2025 Milltek Civic Cup opening weekend at Donington Park.

Jake will be driving a Civic EP3 in his first season in the Civic Cup competition, where he joins both Aidan Mitchell and Garry Townsend.

Jake previously competed in the Junior Saloon Car championship in his first year of car racing, taking five top ten finishes in what was his rookie year.

Having tested a Civic Cup car last year, it was clear that this was the next step Jake wanted to take in his racing career. He showed improvement as he put in more laps during the day and learned more about the car.

The first two rounds of the 2025 season will take place at Donington Park on March 22nd and 23rd, and Jake is excited to make his Civic Cup debut.

“I’m really excited to be making the step up from junior racing into the Civic Cup this season and I think it’ll be great for my own development to race on such an insanely competitive grid,” said Jake.

“I know that success won’t come instantly, especially with the quality of drivers in the championship, however I’m determined to do well and feel like working with BSR will definitely help to get the best out of me.”

BSR Team Owner Ben Sharpe is thrilled to have Jake on board for 2025 and has been impressed with his talents so far.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Jake signed up for the year as he makes the step up to the Civic Cup. He’s already had a test day in the EP3 and just kept improving with every lap. It’s going to be an exciting season ahead.”

Championship Promoter Stewart Lines is delighted to see Jake join the championship for 2025.

“It’s great to welcome Jake on board this year, as another new driver makes the step up to the championship. The Civic Cup is attracting a lot of new talent ahead of the start of the 2025 season,” said Stewart.

“As the clock ticks down to the start of the new season, it’s great to see a healthy grid and plenty of new drivers who are ready to take on one of the toughest club racing championships in the UK. We look forward to an exciting year ahead for the Milltek Civic Cup.”
