Paul McHugh returns for his fifth season in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup, where the seasoned campaigner will line up once more with Area Motorsport.

After a difficult 2021 where he missed the events at both Anglesey and the second visit to Brands Hatch, the Area Motorsport driver took a best finish of seventh place in the opening round at a soaked Cadwell Park.

With experience on his side and staying with the same team offering consistency for the 2022 season, McHugh is eager to put last year behind him and focus on having a much-improved 2022 campaign.

Another high-quality field is already expected for this year and McHugh is ready to bring season number five alive and give it his all when the action begins at Cadwell Park in May, making sure that the fun element remains.

“I learnt a lot from last year, which was a challenging and character-building year for me in what is such a competitive series,” said Paul.

“I’m looking forward to the 2022 season and also looking forward to continuing developing from last year’s performance with Area Motorsport. Staying with the team means I have a solid base to begin my new season with.”
