Cup Class
After finishing tenth in race one, 2021 Production Class champion Mervyn Beckett lined up in pole position for the reversed grid race, with Pro Alloys Racings guest driver Simon Norris alongside.
Beckett managed to hold the lead for the first lap, however contact from teammate Will Redford on lap two saw Beckett driver fall down the order, as Caton took the lead with Redford and Morgan Bailey in close attendance.
As the top three battled for the lead, Norris, Dan Thackeray, Dan MacDonald, Championship leader Alistair Camp, Camps teammate and title rival Matt Luff and Matthew Cripps battled for top ten.
Contact between Caton and Redford at the Esses allowed both Bailey into the lead with Caton retiring on the same lap. Morgan Bailey pulled off from the lead on the next lap leaving Redford ahead of Norris, however with Caton and Bailey off, the Safety Car was deployed.
When racing resumed, Redford and Norris, with Thackeray chasing once more. Both Luff and Camp has passed MacDonald before the Safety Car period and soon began working on Thackeray
Will Redford and Simon Norris completed the podium.
Matt Luff took important points as he finished fourth in the end, ahead of Dan Thackeray and Dan MacDonald as Alistair Camp fell to seventh place. Matthew Cripps, Travis Coyne in the MJ Motorsport with JamSport FN2 Civic and Mervyn Beckett completed the top ten.
Production Class
Loui Hounsell took his second win of the year as he managed to hold off team-mate Alfie Jeakins in the second race of the day.
Jeakins took the class lead early in the race as both he and Hounsell built a gap to third place Mark Hughes with Simon Welch keeping a watching brief as well.
Four laps in, Hounsell had caught Jeakins and passed his teammate to retake the class lead as Welch managed to get himself past Hughes for third.
After the Safety Car period, Hounsell stayed ahead to take the win ahead of Jeakins for another team one-two finish as Mark Hughes got back ahead of Simon Welch to take his second podium of the day.
