Team Petters Racing confirms 2026 Milltek Civic Cup return

Team Petters Racing have announced that they will be back for the 2026 Milltek Civic Cup season, after making impressive strides forward in 2025.

The family-run team will continue with brothers Daniel and Jamie in what will be their third season in the championship, sticking with the EP3 Civic model as they look to move further up the grid next year.

Regular top ten finishes in the opening races of each weekend meant that either Daniel or Jamie were on the front row for the reverse grid races, however both drivers enjoyed breakthroughs in the second half of the year.

Daniel led the second race of the day at Oulton Park in July, before having to settle for second place overall and his first podium in the championship. Jamie took sixth place at Croft as his highest finish of the year, as well as taking two wins in the Paul Winfield Trophy.

Daniel finished the year in second place in the PWT standings, ahead of Jamie, who ended the season in third place.

The aim for 2026 is to move further up the field and regularly challenge for podiums, as well as more top-ten finishes, as they look to take the fight to the front-running teams.

“2025 has been my best season so far in the championship, and I’m delighted that we will be returning next year to improve upon our performances. The Civic Cup is an incredibly tough championship to compete in, so to end the year inside the top ten of the drivers’ championship speaks volumes,” said Daniel.

“There is plenty of hard work ahead of us over the winter; however, I am confident that as a team we will take the next step forward as we look to upset the established order and aim for those all-important podiums on a regular basis.”

“The 2025 season had a lot of ups and downs, but as a driver, I’m super happy with ending the year in the top three of the Paul Winfield Trophy standings and knocking on the door of the overall top ten standings. I gained a lot of experience, and it was great to be running at the front this year,” said Jamie.

“My aim for 2026 is clear: I’ll be aiming for the Paul Winfield Trophy title as I work towards moving further up the order and ending 2026 inside the top ten overall standings. 2025 proved we made progress, and I look forward to improving further next year.”

Championship Manager Jack Finlan is delighted to have the Petters family back in the Civic Cup for their third consecutive year.

“It’s great to see Daniel and Jamie confirm that they will be back for 2026. As a family-run team, Team Petters Racing bring a great work ethic to the paddock, having stepped up in 2025 and showed that they are one of the new wave of front-running drivers in the championship,” explained Jack.

“Their achievements this year speak for themselves, with Daniel taking his first overall podium and Jamie taking class wins in the Paul Winfield Trophy. This shows the progress that the team made this year, and I am certain that this trend will continue during the 2026 season.”
