Matt Wilkins will make his full-time return to the Milltek Civic Cup next year, as he reunites with Motion Motorsport.
Matt will continue driving the EP3 Civic, which he started this season with, as he looks to take the fight to the front after an impressive showing during the opening few rounds of the 2025 season.
Competing at Donington Park, Brands Hatch and Silverstone in the first half of the year, Matt enjoyed his best results during the Brands Hatch weekend, taking two top-six finishes and also setting the fastest lap in the final race of the event.
Returning to the championship with Motion Motorsport provides Matt with a good start, as the team expands its entry in 2026 to run multiple cars.
Having missed the second half of the season, the Berkshire-based driver is ready to come back and get to work on fighting towards the front next year.
“We have a testing plan in place to ensure plenty of seat time ahead of the start of the season. Building on the progress shown at Brands Hatch this year, the focus for next season is consistency, with the aim of achieving regular top-five finishes. From there, the goal is to continue developing and work towards securing podium results in 2026,” said Matt.
“We’re looking forward to the upcoming Civic Cup season and working with the Motion Motorsport team. It’s great to team up with experienced drivers such as Don de Graaff, also newcomer and novice David Walsh, who will be chasing his own goals in his first season within the series. With experience and fresh ambition combined, we’re excited for what’s ahead.”
Championship Manager Jack Finlan welcomes Matt back to the grid for next season, as part of the expanded Motion Motorsport effort.
“It’s great to have Matt return to the championship after his brief stint this year, and it’s also good to see that Motion Motorsport are back and expanding their lineup for the new season,” said Jack.
“As we get closer to the start of the 2026 season, we’re seeing teams returning to the Civic Cup and also increasing their presence on the grid, showing the growth of the series ahead of the new season.”
