Wesley Swain will continue his Milltek Civic Cup campaign with Area Motorsport, aiming to build on the strong progress he has made since joining the team at the start of last season. Having now contested two seasons in the Civic Cup, Swain enters the upcoming campaign with increased experience and confidence as he targets front-running results.
Swain’s ambitions for the season are firmly focused at the sharp end of the grid. His objectives include winning races, establishing himself as a consistent podium contender, and mounting a serious challenge for the championship title.
Since joining Area Motorsport, Swain has made significant strides in his development, benefitting from continuity within the team and a competitive environment. Prior to his time in the Civic Cup, Swain competed in the Fiesta Junior Championship and enjoyed a successful karting career in the British Karting Championship between 2019 and 2022, securing multiple podium finishes and a third-place championship result in 2021.
“I’m really excited to be continuing with Area Motorsport,” said Swain. “I’ve progressed massively since joining the team, and my aim this season is to be winning races, fighting for podiums consistently, and putting myself right in the championship fight.”
Championship Manager Jack Finlan welcomed Swain’s continued presence in the series.
“Wesley has shown strong development over the last couple of seasons in the Civic Cup,” said Finlan. “His background and progression with Area Motorsport put him in a great position, and I’m confident he’ll be one of the drivers pushing at the front this year.”
