Charlie Constable makes his return to the Civic Cup for the 2026 season, where he will drive for the BSR squad.
Charlie worked hard during his first season in the Civic Cup, getting to grips with the car and the racing after stepping up from the JSCC. Enjoying a positive opening weekend at Donington Park last year in March, he scored a best finish of seventh place.
Joining the BSR squad for the Snetterton event in September last year, the Essex-based driver showed further improvement and gained more knowledge, proving to be the stepping stone to joining the team full-time this year.
With testing planned ahead of the start of the season in April, Charlie is aiming higher for his second season in the championship, as part of a larger team where he can learn from his teammates and progress as a driver.
“I’m very excited to be a part of the 2026 Civic Cup grid, and I’m looking forward to moving up the field in my second year. 2025 was an eye-opening experience, where I learned so much about the championship and the Civic EP3 car,” explained Charlie.
“Snetterton was a big weekend for me last year. Working with Spencer Stevenson, Jake Rensha and Aidan Mitchell, I learned so much more about the car, and it gave me the drive to want to come back and further succeed in the Civic Cup. I can’t wait to get started at Brands Hatch in April.”
Team Owner Ben is pleased to welcome Charlie on board full time for his second season of Civic Cup racing as a BSR driver.
“We’re really excited to have Charlie on board with BSR for 2026. He joined us at Snetterton last year for a one-off while his car was being repaired, and straight away we liked how well he fitted in with the team. The way we all gelled made it an easy decision to move forward together,” explained Ben.
“I’m looking forward to seeing how we can develop Charlie over the season and help get him closer to the front of the grid. He also completes our six-car line-up for the 2026 Civic Cup, which is hugely exciting for the team.”
Championship Manager Jack Finlan is delighted to see Charlie return for his second season in the championship.
“Charlie is part of the wave of new drivers we saw enter the championship last year and its great to see him get the opportunity to continue in the Civic Cup in 2026. Returning as a second-year driver offers him the chance to now go further up the grid and enjoy more success. I look forward to seeing how Jake performs next year,” explained Jack.
